It's not every day you get up close and personal with the Commandos but that is exactly what happened to a group of Remote Trauma's medics. Three of our paramedics spend eight months working with the Royal Marine Commandos at Lympstone and it is an experience none of them will forget.
Spending weeks at a time on exercise with the troops meant dealing with a variety of injuries aggravated by extreme weather and environmentally demanding locations all over the UK.
From the stunning bleakness of Dartmoor to the formidable mountain ranges of Scotland and Wales, the medics delivered a reliable, professional service often treating patients in the field.
