A New Year & A New Addition to the Team
6 January 2009
2009 marks the launch of a new service and the employment of a very specialist advisor. After another exceptional year of growth and the successful delivery of several challenging projects on a worldwide basis. Matt Leggett has joined the Remote Trauma team and is currently developing our latest Expedition Planning and Logistical Management service.
Matt brings a wealth of expedition and TV experience to Remote Trauma. Brought up in Papua New Guinea, he travelled the world extensively before completing his academic training in Anthropology at Durham University. Since then Matt has managed and delivered over 30 expeditions to the world's remotest regions, which have often been pioneering and exploratory in nature. This expertise has led him to the involvement in the planning and delivery of several ambitious television documentaries.
Although Matt's background has been in the development and management of remote tropical expeditions, his expertise and interest are truly global. Recent expeditions with production companies have seen him managing several mountaineering expeditions at altitude in the Andes, as well as pioneering new trekking routes in the Atacama Desert and in the Middle East. Passionate about wild places, indigenous cultures and remote expeditions, Matt's contacts and expertise are a welcome addition to the expert team at Remote Trauma.
